With use you machine will need regular maintenance, Part of your maintenance should be to check your treadmill belt. This can fall out of alignment in different ways. We've all seen machines that have shedding of the belt at the edges due to the belt moving or having perminatly slide to one side. The belt can also lose tension over a period of time.

** Before maintaining and checking your machine make sure it has stopped and is unplugged. **

Check the belt by lifting the belt with your hand. The belt should lift between 3 and 4 inches if the tension is correct. You will be able to tighten the belt with the Allen key provided.

** Do not Overtighten the belt this can cause excessive wear on the treadmill and its mechanisms. **

Adjustment bolts are found on the rear roller of the treadmill. There are two kinds of adjustments. Look at the right side of the roller first. If the adjustment bolt has an Allen key, there will be two adjustment bolts. A hexagopnal head means there will be a single adjustment.

Single bolt adjustment

1. If the belt has slipped to the left, turn the left adjustment bolt clockwise 1/4 of a turn with the Allen wrench.

2. If the belt has slipped to the right, turn the left adjustment bolt counter-clockwise1/4 of a turn with the Allen wrench.

3. Plug the power cord in, replace the safety key, and run the treadmill for several minutes. Repeat this process until the belt is centered.

Two bolt adjustment.

2. If the belt has slipped to the right, turn the left adjustment bolt counter-clockwise, the right bolt clockwise, 1/4 of a turn each with the Allen wrench. Plug the power cord in, replace the safety key, and run the treadmill for several minutes. Repeat this process until the belt is centered.
